Binocular is ruled out of the Champion Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival because of a muscle problem.

Binocular will (I think win) The Champion Hurdle! And you…?
I`ve watched this post for many months, and have often refrained from comment. The one post I made was indeed in favour of Binocular, Many comments were proffered. As such, I reply as follows:-
Tommy2ca, you observe well, and comment accordingly.
George B. You also appear astute.
Trinity till I die. How looks 4-1 now?
Rob 4 ever. If the facility to delete your previous text, was available, would you now want to use it?
Loan-shark. Cunning as ever. The only way to look at this race, is now for each way value as previously stated.
Sir Alan. I was Truly taken back by your post. Having "previously layed a number of anti-post investments". I will now lay, a percentage on the exchanges tomorrow at 13/8, thus ensuring a healthy profit, should this magnicent beast win or, (as is very unlikely) not!
I wish you all well with your prospective selections. Good luck and seasons greetings to you all!
David G. With every respect, I will lay the horse tommorow, and achieve a significant profit against my original stake. In addition, I will still retain a good percentage of my original outlay. This will therefore act as a "free bet"on the day. I therefore have a substantial profit in the bank already, and an opportunity to add still further to my profit, without any risk or further outlay whatsoever. As such please enlighten me with as to what you deem as "better value" elsewhere! Good luck.

Thank u Kaitwo u observe well also i remeber ur question after the betfair hurdle!!!
i have been along time fan of Binocular and have backed him everytime since i first saw him win in ascot. He really impressed me at weekend and struggle to see who can beat him in champion hurdle. The distance he left Chomba Womba, Katchit(champion Hurdle winner) and crack away jack behind was unbelievable and went by Celestial with such ease and was never asked to do much more
I love this horse and thankfully i have him backed at nice price although i’m tempted to still back him at 6/4 I may take ur 13/8 on betfair:) although i know i should lay aswel but he really seems to be way ahead of the competition
Just to show how much i love the horse check out my vids on youtube!!!!

still to early for me . he was impressive yesterday i agree but he was suited to the flat galloping track. cheltenham is a different matter . he came unstuck there last season.the uphill finish caught him out (link below) i just think there is better value to be had elsewhere.

kaitwo. by better value elsewhere. i mean punjabi looks a good e/w bet at 12/1 that would pay around 5/2 and sublimity at 20/1 would pay 4/1 both better than 6/4 dont you think

i am still not convinced re the champion hurdle. ascot in december is a completely different test to cheltenham in march and i certainly won’t be taking 6/4. sticking with my e.w. bet on sublimity. lets wait and see after all how many supposed certanties don’t act at cheltenham.

He was a lay down bet on Saturday running on a speedy track. I would not have entertained him the previous week and will certainly not be backing him in the Champion.
Hope to be getting my Xmas money today, been and gone in heavily on FYADOR in the 2-00 Lingfield.

i cant remember what i said about binocular when i last posted, but i wouldnt delete anything i said as that was then and this is now.im assuming it was just after his haydock win.back then i didnt know he was going to win the boylesport hurdle like he did.
he was though doing his recent winning in slower run races and i was eager to see what would happen in a strong run race and he didnt disappoint did he,cruising of a fast pace with the minimum of fuss
this theory that alot of people believe he is flat track horse in nonsense.ascot as a stiff finish like cheltenham, just with out the undulations thats all.dont forget he came 2nd in the supreme novice hurdle,he handled the track that day as if he didnt you can be quite sure a racing post reporter who writes the analysis would of noticed if he came unbalanced, lost his action etc
also,he was 4yo running against older horses,it was the owner who wanted to go for the supreme, henderson the trainer would of preferred the triumph which is for 4yo’s only and celestial halo won that so you have to conclude that binocular would of p*****d the triumph and no one would of even debated him not handling the track
i only think jered (given gd/sf-good ground) can be the main irish challenge as i do think he is something special as well.

Hang on a mo! The Champion Hurdle is in March, anything can happen between now and then. He could get injured in the morning so don’t go counting your chickens before they’re hatched.
Another thing, look at his form. All of his best performances so far have come on flat, sharp tracks. His only defeat has come at Cheltenham - a proper National Hunt course where stamina plays a big part.
I’m not saying he won’t win the Champion Hurdle but I wouldn’t exactly be counting my winnings as at December 22nd!
Make sure you lock in some profit on the exchanges but if you’re so sure he’s gonna hack up, why cut your profits?!

I think Binocular looks the one to beat and I don’t see anything touching it at present.
Anything can happen in the world of jumps mind you so having not got on board earlier I’m likely to go with a good priced E/W nearer the time.
